- I think I covered most of it already. I love studying history~ especially the Revolutionary War and Civil War periods. I think it is important we look back to the past so we don't make the same mistakes in the future. The more that I study about our history, the more heartbroken and angry I get at our government.

May 25~ I watched a little TV tonight, something that I haven't done in a long time. So much sadness, starving children overseas. Unfortunately, there are starving children all around us, if we just take the time to open our eyes and see them. I internalize all of this. I do not know how to separate and not let all of this information constantly swirl around in my mind and pierce the depths of my soul. I'm so broken right now. World Peace? Is it really possible? Are our days numbered due to the government wanting global domination? How many lives have been lost, day after day, just a number is given, "5 killed," or "7 killed" Each one is someone's life~ a father, or mother, someone's child, or sister, brother, grandchild, or husband or wife. Instead of winning the war on terrorism, are we not just creating more terrorist? Are we not just causing more violence and more hatred toward our country, setting our country up for another attack? Where's the voice for We The People? Why aren't more people noticing all that has happened and continues to happen? Why do people prefer to live an illusion instead of face the reality?

I have an excellent biblical scholar/author for you his name is Hyman Maccoby. If you can find a copy of his book (was out of print, but I think someone said it was reissued) called "Revolution in Judaea" it is an excellent book. If you cannot find that one; not big deal he has written others. I would suggest “The Mythmaker: Paul and the Invention of Christianity”. His focus is on the historical "Jesus" placing him back into his historical/cultural context and also tells us a lot about Paul of Tarsus. He can place the origination of the Christian religion within its political/historical context. Quite enlightening.
