The Dawn of a New Regime

What kind of Government do we live with? Do you feel safe? What kind of government makes you afraid? Does Constitutional Law frighten you?

What kind of government, what kind of people (the government is, after all, people) inspires fear and threatens to punish citizens for what they say, do, read and write? What do we say about a government (or people) when those threats are in response to protests opposing war or questioning the wisdom or authority of the king?

What kind of government punishes it own people for exercising their Constitutional, Civil and/or Human rights?

What kind of government sets forth laws, punishes the obedient, and harbors & frees the criminals?

What kind of government commits crimes against its own nation and violates international law?

What kind of society do we live in if we can’t speak our thoughts, practice our religion, raise a family, pursue peace, work for justice, and purse happiness in peace and safety?

Do I need to fear because I am publishing a call for impeachment on the web, have had my picture taken at an impeachment rally, hit send on an email containing photos of a rally I participated in or forwarded a petition? (It is all part of the electronic record, you know.)
